Traditional stereoscopic photography consists of creating a 3-D illusion starting from a pair of 2-D images. Depth perception is created when the viewer is presented with two different images, representing two perspectives of the same object, with a minor deviation similar to the perspectives that both eyes naturally receive
Stereo or 3-D images are usually created with special “stereo? cameras that use use standard 35mm film, which is then mounted on "dual" stereo slide mounts.
